For the Big Sit!® 30th anniversary Zeiss (ZEISS Nature Observation | Always on the lookout for something special) will sponsor the Golden Bird Award. The winning circle will receive a pair of Conquest® HD 8×42 binoculars, retail value $1000.00 US.
The Golden Bird Award is chosen by randomly drawing a bird species, then a second random drawing is done from all of the circles that reported that species.
The prize of the Zeiss Conquest® HD 8×42 binoculars can be used at the discretion of the circle captain. The binoculars could be raffled or auctioned off as a fund raiser, or they could be donated to a school or nature center, or the participants of the winning circle can draw straws to determine who receives them. No strings attached.
