Rich meadows and fields, forested wetlands, trap rock ridge, and riparian woods host breeding populations of sparrows and warblers, woodpeckers, hawks, orioles, grosbeaks, Indigo Buntings, and other field and woodland birds. Other migrating species are possible. Meet at the parking lot just east of 52 Patten Road. From Exit 12 off I-91, turn left onto Washington Avenue, then left on Blakeslee Avenue. Follow to Bassett Road, then right on Bassett and continue through the intersection with Clintonville Road (Route 22) onto Mill Road. Take a gentle left up onto Patten Road and continue east. The park entrance is on the left.
