There is a group organizing volunteers to help put up a chimney swift tower in Meriden. The tower will be in Meriden, however volunteers from other communities could use participation as experience for towers in other communities. The tower will be inspired by Meriden’s Castle Craig Tower and will look like a smaller version. It will be made of wood and be about 18 inches square and 12 feet tall. The base will be a kiosk display about Chimney Swifts. Volunteers will be recognized on the kiosk and featured in any media coverage.
