All indoor programs will be held on the second Thursday of the month. There are no indoor programs in June, July, or August. The social half-hour begins at 7:00 PM; the program at 7:30 PM.

Haddam Meadows Invasive Clean up

April 8 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm

Our first spring invasive plant cleanup will be held on Saturday, April 8, 9:00 am-12:00 noon at Haddam Meadows State Park.  Rain Date is Saturday, April 22. We will remove oriental bittersweet and other invasives and pick up litter. Adults and youth under 16 years of age accompanied by an adult, are invited to participate. Meet at the boat launch. Please dress for the weather, wear waterproof boots, bring garden loppers or saw, sunscreen, bug repellent, first aid supplies, and water. Snacks will be provided. Do not bring pets. Volunteers with Haddam dump trucks and stickers are  especially needed. The event is being planned by Adopt-a-Park volunteers, Cherry Czuba, and Mary Lou Heger. New Haven Bird Club conservation committee co-chair Charles Strasser will be taking part and encourages members to participate in maintaining habitat for our birds, wildlife, and citizens. Those planning to go should contact Charles or the event’s organizers at the email address.
